Why do I have to pay a redelivery fee?

Our freight charges are based on standard delivery conditions. Redelivery fees are necessary to cover the additional costs incurred when a delivery attempt cannot be completed as planned or is not a standard delivery. Unlike smaller items, delivering large, bulky office furniture requires significant coordination and resources.

Here are the common reasons a redelivery fee may apply:

  • No One Available to Receive the Delivery: If no one is present at the delivery address during the scheduled timeframe, the driver cannot complete the delivery.
  • Access Issues: Problems such as narrow driveways, locked gates, or restricted access to lifts or stairs can prevent the delivery from being completed.
  • Incorrect Address or Information: Providing an incorrect delivery address or missing important details (eg: entry instructions) can result in a failed delivery.
  • Time-Sensitive Scheduling: Delivery teams operate on tight schedules, and failed attempts disrupt the delivery of other orders in the run.

The freight companies may charge us fees if there is a failed delivery. To ensure our great prices we need to pass these costs on.
